October 20, 2004 - The Board of Directors for the Specialty Sleep Association (SSA) today announced that it has contracted exhibit space with the World Market Center in Las Vegas for its much awaited Grand Opening show in July 2005.
The SSA will be subleasing exhibit space to its members and non members. The SSA’s goal is to offer members a competitive rate structure for the Las Vegas Market.
Dave Palmer, General Manager for World Market Center is looking forward to working with the SSA. "“We are very proud to have the SSA on board with World Market Center. We believe this is a very important partnership for our first Market and throughout the evolution of our project. It allows us to reach out to the specialty sleep category and its members in a meaningful way, and in turn, WMC will provide an excellent venue for their manufacturers to reach new buyers.”
SSA President Denny Boyd, Boyd Specialty Sleep, is pleased with the opportunity that member manufacturers will be offered at the new Las Vegas venue. “This show is the hottest ticket in the furniture industry. We worked hard to negotiate a deal that will benefit our member manufacturers, and present the best exhibit of our products to our buyers.”
Scheduled to open in 2005, World Market Center is the largest home furnishings showroom complex in the West. The first stage of World Market Center will encompass 1.3 million square feet of permanent showrooms, nearly 400,000 square feet of temporary pavilions and a Design Center dedicated to all facets of home furnishing.
Manufacturers interested in leasing space in the Specialty Sleep Products exhibit floor area should contact Tambra Jones at 559-868-4187 or email tambra@netptc.net. Exhibitor packets are in production and will be mailed to SSA members in the next few weeks. Non-members should call to be added to the mailing list.
