With a reputation for creating the haute couture of the bedding and pillow world, Étoffe Makara brings a unique and sought after presence to Las Vegas with its new showroom, located in Bldg. C-172, in the Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center Las Vegas.
Characterized by its custom designs, Étoffe Makara works in the tradition of master printers, hand-printing velvets, silks and other luxurious fabrics. Their computerized design layout and swatch set programs allow clients to conceptualize their visions, from textiles to bedding and pillows to draperies.
Étoffe Makara has shown at the semiannual Las Vegas Market since the first show five years ago. The response has been so positive that when it came time to open a flagship showroom, there was no question about where it would be stationed.
“We like the facility very much,” says Laurent Boilly, principal owner. “It’s state-of-the-art and we feel that the marketing for Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center is exceptional. We think in the future, it will be the premiere Market. Business is tough right now, but we are looking toward the long term.” Boilly said his company plans to launch many new designs at the upcoming Winter Las Vegas Market, Feb. 1 - 5.

The Las Vegas Design Center’s new Design Salon will give the public unique access to Étoffe Makara, as well as other showrooms. This service facilitates complimentary consultations for consumers with professional designers, and gives those consumers access to showrooms within Las Vegas Design Center. It’s the product of a partnership between Las Vegas Design Center and The American Society of Interior Designers’ (ASID) California Central/Nevada chapter.
