Unparalleled Quality of Life
Las Vegas has been ranked one of the “most livable cities” and “best places to start a business” by such magazines as Money and Entrepreneur. Las Vegas experienced more than 76,000 newcomers last year, and new home construction continues to be very strong with the average new home price very affordable. No state corporate income tax or personal income tax; an educated, expanding workforce; location and lifestyle lead the list of reasons why companies choose to do business and families choose to move to Southern Nevada.
Downtown Mecca
In a public-private partnership with the City of Las Vegas, World Market Center is an integral part of the region’s overall diversification and revitalization efforts for downtown Las Vegas. With over 7,000 hotel rooms just blocks away from World Market Center, the downtown corridor is becoming the core of Las Vegas with the emergence of new, high quality office buildings, parks, plazas, streets lined with trees and walkways, restaurants catering to both business and leisure patrons, the “historic” casinos, entertainment, shopping, museums and perhaps most importantly, new residential communities and neighborhoods.
Demographics
Las Vegas is situated at the southern tip of Nevada in the Great Basin - the western region between the Sierra Nevada and Wasatch mountain ranges - which contains isolated mountains and has no drainage to the ocean. Official elevation of the city is 2,174 feet.
